South Street Art Gallery is housed in an historic building built in 1854, located in the charming town of Easton, Maryland.

Known as one of the best small arts towns in the United States, Easton is located in Chesapeake Bay country, on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore.

South Street Art Gallery features contemporary representational artists from across the United States, with a focus on artists from the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern Shore regions. Our specialty is large landscapes in oil, and we are also known for our top notch selection of plein air works by award winning artists; yet our wide ranging eclectic collection includes figurative impressionism, contemporary still lifes, fine watercolors, intaglio prints, glass art and bronze sculptures.

In the old kitchen of South Street Art Gallery, you will find the working studio of gallery co-owner Nancy Tankersley. She invites gallery visitors to drop in and see her paintings in progress.

The First Friday of every month, the galleries of historic downtown Easton stay open from 5 until 9 pm for a gallery walk. This fun, festive event is resplendent with refreshments and live music. It's a great time to view the latest works by our gallery artists, and enjoy a pleasant evening!
